BobarosaThe Bobarosa is not only
a great motorcycle ride, but is also a great place to meet fellow
riders. Not far from the Great Smoky Mountains, Cherokee, Asheville,
Gatlinburg, or Knoxville, this place is located in a beautiful area -
right along the French Broad River. Just get on Highway 70 between
Newport and Hot Springs and you can't miss it.
 Considered by many a biker’s paradise, Bobarosa is one place that you should really stop in when you’re out riding this beautiful area. One of the rides you shouldn't miss while visiting Bobarosa is the 'Rattler', Highway 209. This is a must ride while here. You'll go right through Hot Springs NC on your way, so check out the mineral hot tubs if you have time. Bobarosa started out with an acre of land, only camping and a small store. They have successfully grown to over 4 acres, 4 bars, saloon, the big deck, three stages and even sell motorcycle riding gear as well and camping supplies. You can hang out outside or head in to the indoor saloon. Bobarosa has a few pool tables, dart boards, and even some video games in the saloon. The outside sports one of the largest decks you will likely see. "Bob’s big deck" has plenty of seating and is built right alongside the French Broad River. If you time it right, you may be able to catch one of the bands that frequent Bobarosa. The best bet to catch a show is to ride in on a Friday or Saturday. Weekends are when most of the bands play, and the party tends to be a little wilder too.  Can you get a meal at Bobarosa? You bet you can. From Steak and ribs, to burgers, the food is really good. Stop by the Hogg shack for a good BBQ sandwich. Drinks are available in the saloon and out on the deck If you have a little too much fun while at Bobarosa, no problem. They offer camping right there on site, and even rent RVs and cabins. The parties can get pretty crazy at night, so stay awhile, have a great time, but don't ride after the party. If you are camping at Bobarosa, the store has most of the camping gear you are likely to need. The RV sites have electric and water for those riders that would rather not sleep in a tent. There is a bathhouse for your shower needs. There is no tolerance for fighting or drugs at Bobarosa. This is a place to socialize and have fun! |
