Shoei HelmetsShoei Helmets –
Lightweight, strong and comfortable. Not the average shell.
Shoei helmets started operations in Tokyo Japan back in 1959. They earned JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) certification almost immediately. They expanded into North America in 1968. Some of the first Shoei Helmets made were for racing. For a great off-road model, you can't go wrong with Shoei Helmets. They were one of the first to use Carbon Fiber and to provide ventilation - even in the chin bar. Their modular design was the first introduced to the market. Several models have a quick opening shield. Some of the features and benefits of Shoei Helmets include:
Shoei Helmets utilize an Advanced Integrated Matrix (AIM) 1. The outer shell is mostly fiberglass. Organic fibers are integrated within creating great strength with low weight. 2. The shell is reinforced organic and glass fibers. It is lighter and more elastic, yet as strong as glass alone. 3. Synthetic resin is used for the outer shell. This creates strength and elasticity with heat during hardening. Resistant to corrosion. AIM offers weight
advantages and great impact protection. The shell and EPS liner of
Shoei Helmets may show damage after an impact, but offer maximum
protection. Standard hard design doen’t redirect energy, may
not show damage, but injuries are more likely.
A wind tunnel is used to test the ventilation system. The shield is made of polycarbonate. For excellent visibility and protection from UV as well as scratch resistance, get one of the Shoei Helmets. With excellent aerodynamics and padding, wind noise is cut down to nearly none. |
